Host a Virtual Event
As a Virtual Host, you’ll bring together alumni for a short, meaningful online gathering to reconnect, hear about the National Speech & Debate Initiative (NSDI), and make an ask to support the National Speech & Debate Initiative.
This can be a(n):
- Opportunity to recognize a coach
- A class or school reunion
- Regional alumni gathering
Time commitment: 60–75 minutes total event time
Planning window: 3–4 weeks
- Select a date and time
- Choose your audience and goal (i.e. 20 attendees and $5000)
- Identify and invite alumni from your network (we provide templates)
- Personally encourage attendance (1–2 reminder messages)
- Welcome guests and share a short personal story during the event
- Make a personal gift and invite others to join you
- A dedicated staff partner
- Zoom platform + tech hosting
- Event agenda + run of show
- Slide deck and campaign messaging
- Email templates + reminder language
- Custom RSVP + donation link
- Post-event follow-up and gift processing
