St. Andrew’s Episcopal School is looking to hire a Speech and Debate Teacher/Assistant Coach for its program, which competes locally, regionally, and nationally. The successful candidate will teach a class in each of the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades that introduce students to the world of Speech and Debate, along with co-teaching a class in Debate Competition and a class in Speech Competition. The St. Andrew’s Speech and Debate Team competes at about 15-20 tournaments during the course of academic year, and the assistant coach will be expected to split these travel responsibilities with the Director of Speech and Debate — the previous incumbent typically helped cover 10-12 tournaments a year, going from mid-September through NSDA Nationals in mid-June.
