Conor Sherry is an actor best known for his breakout role as AJ in the coming-of-age comedy movie Snack Shack. He will soon star in Netflix’s Happy Gilmore 2 alongside Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller.
Conor won the 2019 NSDA National Champion in Humorous Interpretation, performing Kicking and Screaming. He had an impressive 4 year competitive record. A California State Champion as a freshman, he went on to dominate over the next four years—championing numerous state and national tournaments across multiple events. His national champion performance of Kicking and Screaming has since garnered nearly 200,000 views on YouTube.
After graduating, Conor studied Sociology at UCLA while pursuing his film acting career. He landed his first professional role at 19 in The Terminal List, opposite Chris Pratt and Constance Wu. He stays involved in the speech and debate community through Breakthrough Coaching, a private coaching company he co-founded with his mom, Brigid Feeney, to help students across the country find their voice through performance and, of course, win some trophies.
Fun facts:
– During the 2019 national tournament, prior to the final round, Conor took twenty nine out of thirty four possible “1’s”.
– Over the course of his entire high school career, across multiple events Conor advanced to every single final round possible—except for just two.
