About Us:
Athens Debate is the Bay Area’s highest-rated Speech & Debate academy, serving students grades 3-12 with engaging in-person and online classes. We know that speech & debate education changes lives – and we’re building a team of exceptional instructors to do just that.
What You’ll Do:
Teach dynamic, interactive speech & debate classes that develop critical thinking, interpersonal communication, public speaking, logic, writing, philosophy, and more.
Deliver top-notch instruction using our comprehensive curriculum and teaching methodology.
Lead games, debates, and activities that empower students to grow in skill and knowledge.
Work in a supportive, fun, and professional environment with inspiring colleagues.
Perks & Pay:
$30–$50/hr based on experience
Paid training and mentorship

Who We’re Looking For:
Speech & Debate competitors, coaches, or educators with tournament experience
High-energy, positive, engaging communicators
Dependable, professional, and great with students ages 8–17
Former or current speech & debate (forensics) students (college or high school)
Bonus: Teaching experience and/or education in communication studies, rhetoric, poli-sci, or philosophy.
Fall Classes Start August 23!
In-person Instructors must be able to reliably commute to their assigned location.
