We Are Speech & Debate!

Membership in the National Speech & Debate Association provides incredible resources for you and your team to enhance your team’s educational experience and improve student performance. We are the largest speech and debate community in the country, and we are constantly growing. Renew your membership or join us today!

Annual NSDA high school membership dues are $149 and middle school dues are $75. Membership is good through July 31 of the school year for which you are renewing.

Individual Memberships

Student Memberships
Each individual high school student membership is a one-time $20 fee. Each individual middle school student membership is a one-time $10 fee. When your students become NSDA members they join our Honor Society and unlock new benefits including:

• • Eligibility to earn a portion of the $150,000 in college scholarships we give annually
  • Membership in one of the oldest and most respected honor societies
  • The opportunity to earn local, state, and national recognition for achievement
  • Access to helpful training tools to build their skills through the school’s membership
  • An opportunity to compete to attend the National Tournament, the Olympics of speech and debate, where 54 national champions are crowned

Coach Memberships
Each individual coach membership is a one-time $20 fee. When coaches at member schools add an individual membership they gain access to new benefits including:

• • Professional development opportunities and credit through our learning management system, NSDA Learn.
  • An opportunity to network and connect with colleagues across the country via our online forums.
  • Access to online resources through the school’s membership.
  • Eligibility for local and national awards for progress and excellence in coaching, in the classroom, and in service to the speech and debate community.
  • Access to a professional coach accreditation program.
