The coaches’ caucuses are akin to affinity groups (groups in which the participants are brought together by identity). One of the most common misconceptions about affinity groups is that they promote segregation. This is not the case. The coaches’ caucuses are designed to support coaches who experience unique challenges and experiences because of their identity.Â
